I cannot
believe we are in the last month of the first quarter of 2013! Wow time flies.
We are continually receiving new product, preparing for "Scrapped" this month,
getting ready for Krista's baby shower, preparing for our store Anniversary,
Finalizing airline tickets, hotel etc for Bo Bunny coming for National Scrapbook
Day, Veronica will be here in a few short weeks- Whew! But I STILL find time to
scrapbook. I am still finding time to write in my journal as well.
Making Layouts the Easy Way
Welcome to March! I’m looking at the calendar and realizing that Easter is
coming up in just a few weeks! I just love pulling out all my pastel papers,
flowers, little bunnies and eggs and diving into those fresh, bright, clean
pastel solids and prints – don’t you?
I have a confession to make: sometimes I actually find myself shooting photos
in the spring, just so I’ll get the chance to start mixing and matching mint
plaids and pink polka dots on my pages. I have been known to buy Aedan a new
shirt or outfit just so I can use that new scrapbook line that came in. It’s the
little things in life that makes us happy, isn’t it?
But you know, color does say a lot about our personalities – even the colors
we choose for our scrapbooks say something about us. Are you one who loves to
mix it up, always going with the newest color on the shelf when choosing a new
album?
Or, are you more restrained – consistently staying with the same color each
time? Do you have a system of colors – Navy for family, Purple for Olivia, Red
for Sam, Green for Christmas, Brown for vacation, for example? Or are you more
free-spirited: that new floral print is really catching my eye – I’ll take
it!
Whatever it is you gravitate toward – whether it’s the bright airy pastels of
spring, or tried and true jewel tones, whatever it is that makes you happy -
we’ve got them here for you.
Of course, as we all know, BUYING the albums is the easy part. It’s FINISHING
the albums that can sometimes get a little tricky. Do you struggle with trying
to decide exactly where and how to arrange your pictures on your page?

can't figure out what to do to fix the problem! Well the girls down at the store

March is
here!
Spring has
Sprung!
And Veronica will
be here before we know it!
9 weeks and counting before we welcome a little
girl to our family.
If I said we are excited, that would be an
understatement!
There is still SO much to do before her arrival,
we
have our 1st Scrapped! Competition, Card Maker Clubs, a Baby Shower,
and the
final touches on her nursery....
All before she gets here! Not to
mention that her arrival also marks National Scrapbook Day Weekend and all of
our EXCITING events with Bo Bunny!
It is hard to tell what Aedan is
thinking of this whole situation.
He knows that Baby
Sister is coming or "ista" as he calls her.
But we know he doesn't understand
that it is a baby,
partially because he thinks baby sister is my belly
button. But at least he tries!
He tells her hi, gives her kisses, and even
tries to feed her his chicken strips!
Now if that is not LOVE I don't know
what is!
(Especially if you know Aedan and how much HE LOVES his chicken
strips!)
With Veronica coming it has also allowed me to scrap in a way
that I haven't scrapped before!
That's right!
GIRLY! It has opened up even possibilites and
I get to use even more of my
favs like flowers and bling!
Which is perfect during this time of the year!

Hey there
everyone!
Winter is slowly
moving on and spring will soon be in full swing! As all the fresh new to colors
start to return, so does the inspiration and wonder that comes with this season.
I hope that everyone else is feeling as inspired as I am, and not to mention
motivated to get back into some old projects.
For this month's class I
have an adorable configuration that just yells "Springtime!"
of course it has
limit spots and is fulling up fast, so don't waste time/ This cute configuration
is the perfect way to "hop into spring," as a great Easter gift or home decor.

This year has been a busy one and we are just starting,
but I hope that many of you are still sticking to those resolutions. I know I
am, and I fee so good. So I hope many of you continually pursue to self-improve
and be a little more crafty everyday!

Every month we will be posting a
challenge on our Facebook, Blog, in our newsletter etc. The Challenge will be
the same, you can just access it from all outlets! The challenge will be both a
product and sketch challenge. We will provide you with a sketch and a line that
your layout (or project) must be completed from. The layout must be 80% of that
product line, so yes, you can add more of your own embellishments and touches!
Every month our design team will provide you with samples and ideas to get those
creative juices going. (They WILL NOT actually be in the challenge) With that
said the challenge and prizes are available to ANYONE except store employees and
immediate families of store employees! Yes, that means you can even be from out
of town!
All you have to do is complete the
challenge and turn it in to us by
the
deadline and we will announce the winners!
***Note that our Challenge themes
are always a month behind.
We intend
that for you to finish your project from start to finish.
Our winners are picked by a blind
panel of judges that consist of
Manufacturers, Designers, and Reps!

Discussing the intricacies of stamp sets for hours on end is one of our
favorite pastimes.

and take my hands away from my ears.
