Well another holiday in 2013 has come and gone! For Easter weekend we went to Lubbock to spend some quiet time with Aedan. We hung out in the hotel and spent time just playing in the parks. In just a few weeks things will be forever, changed. I will be blessed with my second grand baby, Veronica. Krista & Bobby have been busy preparing for their new little blessing. Of course in addition to Veronica's arrival into this world, we have our stores anniversary; we will be 8 years old, then of course there is the baby shower, tax time, etc. Time just seems to be flying by! In a few weeks another school year will be over, there will be Graduations, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Summer Vacation, Trips, BBQ's, Family Reunions and so much more. Sometimes I just want to "freeze" time. I want to slow down and just enjoy the moment. I think in today's world we all work so hard with jobs, families and life that we forget the important things like watching our kids throw a ball for the first time, or watching a child's face when they run their toes in the sand, or the love in a parents eyes when they hold their child for the first time, or the pride in grandparents face when their grandchild plays soccer, or whatever the circumstances are. This summer, I am going to make time to just enjoy the simpliar things. My daily journal is still coming along, and I am finding more time to scrapbook. (This helps me to freeze time- lol). So have you registered the kids for our annual Kid Kamp? Or what about you grabbing a girlfriend and coming down to the store for a class? Always wanted to take a desinger class? Join us for National Scrapbook Day. (Yes, this is a REAL holiday in the industry. It is always the first Saturday of May) We are so excited to have Bo Bunny down for this event. We are working on some new events for the 2nd quarter of the year, so keep watching your newsletters and Facebook for what the girls have in store next. A big CONGRATULATIONS to Stacey L. for winning the first IT Scrapped Battle of the Craft Wars last month. If you have not heard about it, check it out on Facebook. We are accepting entrants for June's Scrapped, so if you are interested in participating call the store to register.

April is going to be such a fantastic month!
We have so much going on...
The baby shower, the Store's birthday, and VERONICA's arrival!!
We are all so excited and can't believe that I get to
hold my precious little girl so soon!
Aedan is even getting excited!
He is getting to have a party for him and "ister"
(the baby shower)
and is so excited about his cake and the decorations!
He is such a big help and is going to be an amazing Big Brother.
Veronica is a very special little girl!
With Veronica coming so quickly we are definately
enjoying every possible minute with Aedan.
We know that once she is here things are going to change,
of course a good change, but still a change!
And are trying to make sure Aedan's transition is as easy as can be!
And that no matter what Aedan is our baby too!
I have been having so much fun with all the great items coming in store!
We have great new collections arriving, new tools,
and lots of new items in our Gift Boutique!

Every month we will be posting a challenge on our Facebook, Blog, in our newsletter etc. The Challenge will be the same, you can just access it from all outlets! The challenge will be both a product and sketch challenge. We will provide you with a sketch and a line that your layout (or project) must be completed from. The layout must be 80% of that product line, so yes, you can add more of your own embellishments and touches! Every month our design team will provide you with samples and ideas to get those creative juices going. (They WILL NOT actually be in the challenge) With that said the challenge and prizes are available to ANYONE except store employees and immediate families of store employees! Yes, that means you can even be from out of town!
All you have to do is complete the challenge and turn it in to us by
the deadline and we will announce the winners!
***Note that our Challenge themes are always a month behind.
We intend that for you to finish your project from start to finish.
Our winners are picked by a blind panel of judges that consist of
Manufacturers, Designers, and Reps!

This month's challenge: Jillibean Soup (Chicken Soup) and Various Coordinating Papers
80% of product used must be from the chosen items.
