February Crop We have had lots of inquiring about having a crop. So we are asking you our customers! Please email us if you are interested! Would you rather have a Crop on SATURDAY, February 2nd from 6pm to Midnight ~ or ~ SUNDAY, February 3rd from Noon to 6pm. This will be a themed crop with door prizes, giveaways, demos and lots of fun! Please let us know by Wednesday, January 23rd, 9pm. Scrapbooks & Gifts Back to top As we ring in yet another new year, many of us will make our resolutions for the year. You know the same things we say we are going to do every year.... Lose weight, get organized, save some extra cash, eat healthier, and the list goes on and on. But do we ever really ever accomplish our resolutions year after year? This got me to thinking I am not going to make any resolutions; after all I know I won’t keep it for more than a week or two anyway. Instead I am going to set goals for myself. My goal for 2013 is to Live Life In The Moment and be the best I can be whether at work or play. When I’m working, I want to work hard. I want to use my time wisely, keep my head on the goal or task at hand, and have the results to show for it. When I’m home, I want to make time to put away my responsibilities, and just enjoy the moment without feeling guilty that I SHOULD be doing something else. I think those times are important, and are way too few and far between. I also think that making more time to recharge that way will only serve to make me more centered, more productive, and more satisfied in my work life. It is my goal to keep a journal, write a few things each day: Accomplishments, Disappointments, etc. Anyway, it’s not a complicated goal, but I think, an important one, and I’ll let you know how it works out as the year progresses. The hustle and bustle of the holiday season now just a blur and seems like an eternity before it will be here again, but this year will fly by like they all have! We had an amazing Christmas, I just LOVE the holidays and spending time with the family! It was really neat, because we had 5 generations gathered around the Christmas tree and it was a blast! It is hard to believe that next Christmas we will have 5 generations of women! Poor Bobby! What is ahead in 2013? Well this month our precious little red head will be 3! It is hard to believe how big he is! He is just a blessing in all of our lives and no matter what he always brings a smile to our faces! 2013 also brings something special as well! Bobby and I are expecting our 2nd child and we are so excited to announce that Veronica Aurora Faith will be arriving in early May! We are also excited to say that there are many new things going on at the store! We have a great new rewards system we can't wait to share with you! You don't have to sign up at all! It is an exciting New Year with many new opportunities awaiting. This past year has brought me so many blessings I can only hope that the New Year will continue to bring me more. As things return to normal at the store and all the Christmas decorations are taken down we are preparing for all the new ideas and product that will be returning from CHA (the Craft and Hobby Association). Meanwhile we are rearranging and shuffling stuff down at the store to make room for all the new product that will soon be arriving and hitting our floors. As always there are new classes, including painting scratch board and watercolor just waiting to be signed up for. I always look forward to seeing new faces in class and remember the majority of our classes are not age or experienced required so don't be afraid to give our classes a try. The challenge will be both a product and sketch challenge. We will provide you with a sketch and a line that your layout (or project) must be completed from. The layout must be 80% of that product line, so yes, you can add more of your own embellishments and touches! Every month our design team will provide you with samples and ideas to get those creative juices going. (They WILL NOT actually be in the challenge) With that said the challenge and prizes are available to ANYONE except store employees and immediate families of store employees! Yes, that means you can even be from out of town! All you have to do is complete the challenge and turn it in to us by the deadline and we will announce the winners! ***Note that our Challenge themes are always a month behind. We intend that for you to finish your project from start to finish. Our winners are picked by a blind panel of judges that consist of Manufacturers, Designers, and Reps! THAT EASY!
